How does a ignintion coil work?
An ignition coil, also known as a coil, is a part of the ignition system of an internal combustion engine, including that of scooters. It is responsible for generating the high voltage needed to produce the spark that ignites the fuel in the cylinder.
The ignition coil interacts with the flywheel, which is a heavy wheel mounted on the crankshaft of the engine. The flywheel is fitted with a magnet that moves past the ignition coil when the flywheel rotates. This causes a change in the coil's magnetic field, generating a high voltage signal that is fed to the spark plug.
By fine-tuning the ignition coil and flywheel, the ignition system can produce the spark at the right time, which is essential for proper engine operation.
